Stockdale Studios Pet and Animal Photography

Professional Pet and Animal Photography Portraits by Renee' Stockdale

Reneé Stockdale, the founder of Stockdale Studios, is a respected animal photographer for more than 25 years. Her work has appeared in numerous magazines, books, ads and paper products such as Time, Reader's Digest, Family Circle, Time-Life Books, National Geographic, Prevention, Cat Fancy, Dog Fancy, Kittens USA, Puppies USA, Bird Talk, and Ferrets Magazine.

Renee's classic and clever animal photos have enlivened the pages of many book publishers, featuring pets from dogs, cats, ferrets, turtles, hedgehogs to guinea pigs. In recent years, she has shot extensively for the special interest "Popular Dogs" magazine, with series including Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Dalmatians, Dachshunds, Poodles, Labradors, and Golden Retrievers.

Reneé indulges her passion for animals by keeping a wide assortment of photo -ready candidates at her 15-acre Michigan farm. "I have been 'owned' by all sorts of critters over the years." She concedes with a grin. "Horses, donkeys, mules, rabbits, dogs, cats, rats, mice, ferrets, raccoons, pigs, fish, degus, hedgehogs, chickens, ducks, gerbils, cattle, sheep, goats -- and, oh yes, human children!" She laughs.

In addition to her own animals, Reneé has also fostered hundreds of orphan and abandoned animals throughout the years.
